About The NJ based Improv Comedy Group: Out of Order

What is Out of Order?

Out of Order Improvisational Comedy (OoO as it is known to true Improv Comedy fans) was first organized by Kym Frank as a fundraising effort for renovations at the Brundage Park Playhouse community theater in Randolph NJ, Morris County. The first improv comedy show was such an overwhelming success that the improv performing group stayed together and began scheduling improv performances across New Jersey and New York.

Out of Order's improv comedy act has been showcased in feature articles in the Morris County Daily Record Newspaper's Weekend Entertainment Section and has been mentioned as part of the Fun Things to Do in Northern NJ series of arts and leisure activities. Out of Order also keeps its improv performance calendar busy fun by donating the ticket sales to local charities.

Following in the steps of such great Improv Comedians (Clive Anderson, Greg Proops, Tony Slattery, Mike McShane, Josie Lawrence, Brad Sherwood, Chip Esten, Del Close, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carrell, Tina Fey, Bill Murray, Mike Myers, Robin Williams, Jonathan Winters. Colin Mochrie, Drew Carey, Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady), the current cast of improv performers of Out of Order includes: Kym Frank (Mt. Tabor NJ), Dave O'Neill (Montclair NJ), Russ Crespolini (Randolph NJ), Omar Kozarsky (Mahwah NJ), Jessica Prekel (Hackensack NJ), Joseph Guadara (Mountain Lakes NJ), Jason Victor (Mt. Olive NJ) and Musical Director, Dr. John Pierce (Mt. Tabor).

What is Improv Comedy?

Improvisational Comedy (or "Improv") is a form of theater where the actors make up their performances on the spot based on suggestions supplied by the audience. OoO specializes in short form improvisational comedy, meaning that their improv comedy shows consist of several small scenes or "games" much like the format of the television show, "Whose Line is it Anyway?", as seen on ABC TV and the Comedy Central cable network

So What is the Point of Improv and Out of Order Itself?

Because Out of Order's improv comedy performances are completely spontaneous, they use no costumes, props nor set pieces. This allows OoO to perform virtually anywhere and for audiences large and small. Out of Order shows are fairly inexpensive to mount due to this fact and are excellent for fundraisers for organizations and groups. Oh...and the improv shows are laugh-out-loud funny, always changing, filled with humor, and audience-interactive. An Improv Comedy show as performed by Out of Order makes for great fundraiser idea for your non-profit organization as well as being profitable and fun all at the same time!

Wow...sounds great.
