Out of Order Improv has been performing for audiences in NJ and NY for over seven years. We're a troupe made up of actors, writers, designers, illustrators, painters, waiters, soldiers, nerds, marketers, geeks, artists, musicians and comedians.

So, what's improv? Improvisational Comedy is a form of theater where the actors make up their performances on the spot based on suggestions supplied by the audience. It is a form of theater where most or all of what is performed is created at the moment it is performed. In its purest form, the dialogue, the action, the story and the characters are created collaboratively by the players as the improvisation unfolds. Out of Order does just that. We specialize in short form improvisational comedy, meaning that our shows consist of several small scenes or games much like the format of the television show, "Whose Line is it Anyway?" Recently, Out of Order has branched out into exploring longer form structures, allowing them to tell more in depth stories.

Out Of Order Improv does not just perform hilarious improv comedy for their own gratification and ego. That is just a happy byproduct. No, Out Of Order has performed improv comedy to raise money for soup kitchens, community theaters, churches and various not-for-profit endeavors including building homes for orphans in Africa. So if you are affiliated with an organization that needs a fundraiser for a worthy cause, contact us to learn how an improv show performed by Out Of Order can raise money for your not-for-profit organization or community theater.
